Full of unflinching honesty and rooted in compassionate clarity, Elvie Shane delivers his most daring work yet with new album Damascus. He makes the conscious choice to speak his truth, both sonically and lyrically, and like the pivotal story it’s named for, there’s no going back. With each track stepping into the shoes of another, Shane takes pieces of each character he’s met on the journey, melding them into one beautifully woven work, Damascus tells the stories of those often overlooked, giving each testimony a chance to shine through. “It’s just so raw.
